Folsom migraine

I had tried so many things and I was wondering if this was just another thing that wouldn’t work. I was a little skeptical and it was also costly. I had to make a decision to take a chance and pay for this treatment. It was another option that was available to try for my health.

As I progressed through care it shocked me that I couldn’t remember the last time I had a migraine.  My blood pressure has also gone down. That was also a big shock for me. I was on two medications for high blood pressure and another high blood pressure medication for my migraines. In all I was on three blood pressure medications. I am a little bit in awe.

I was surprised at how uncomplicated upper cervical chiropractic is. It is so weird how you snap my neck and have me lay down to rest. It is such a simple type of care. You wonder how such a simple thing actually works. It leaves me in awe.

Now that I have less headaches I am able to do more activities. Its like you go about your business everyday and then you suddenly start thinking, “Hey I don’t have a headache today.” This is makes it so much easier and I am not as depressed or anxious. I have dealt with anxiety and depression because of the pain. I was feeling discouraged because of the chronic pain on a dialy basis.

I would say that upper cervical chiropractic has made life easier. I still deal with some anxiety, but I would say that I am not depressed and I have been given hope that there doesn’t have to be chronic pain in my fututre.

I would definietly recommened upper cervical chiropractic care because of how easy it is, but you have to commit to it. I am very pleased that my friend Jani referred me.

I was hesitant to start care because of the cost.  It was going to be an out-of-pocket expense because my insurance didn’t cover it.  And I questioned whether or not this was really going to work.  I had been to other chiropractors, repetitively and only got temporary relief, but it never really solved the problem.

After seeing Dr. Gibson I saw a dramatic improvement in the frequency and severity of my headaches.  They went down from 2-3 headaches a week to maybe one a month.

I also had chronic back pain and I never even considered that this type of care would help it.  It was a ruptured disc that I never would have believed a neck adjustment could help it.  There are only about 3-4 ways to treat it.  I didn’t even realize how much that chronic back pain had affected my life until it was gone.

The one thing that I like the most about this type of care is the evaluation at each visit that determines if you even need to be adjusted.  With most generalized chiropractors there isn’t that evaluation to determine if you need to be adjusted.  You just come in for treatments and get adjusted at every visit.  It is assumed that if you have pain you need an adjustment.  There were times when I would come in and feel like I needed an adjustment, and I really didn’t.

Once I got through the first couple of months of care to stabilize my neck, it didn’t require very much time to maintain the results that I had gotten.

I would recommend this type of care to anyone who has headaches, musculoskeletal issues, and limited range of motion.

And one thing that people should know that is that the way Dr. Gibson does his x-rays and consultation he will tell you if you will not receive benefit with this type of care.  I don’t think that there is another chiropractor out there in the world that will say, “You know what, what I do will not help you.”  Most other chiropractors will put you on this treatment plan and if you fail to improve they will just change what they are doing.

I wasn’t sure about the time required for this type of care. It was a commitment that I wasn’t sure I could handle.

Since being under care I have experienced a relief of the soreness, stiffness and pressures in my head that I have been dealing with for 30 years that other chiropractic treatments had not been able to take care of. I have just ignored the pain while working, but when I wasn’t working the pains would be more noticable and nagging.

The fact that I wasn’t plagued with the symptoms from headaches, migraines, constant stiffness and grinding in the head and neck area has been a great benefit.

It has also seemed to have stimulated a little more energy. I don’t take aspirin anymore like I used to. I generally feel better.

I would recommend upper cervical chiropractic because it works.

I had been to one chiropractor before and in my opinion I didn’t feel a difference. And I wasn’t onboard that what Dr. Gibson had to offer would work.

I had a migraine at that time of my first adjustment. When Dr. Gibson gave me the first adjustment, I had never had one where the pain was located. When I got up after the adjustment, Miguel my husband jumped up off the couch because he even heard it. My first thought was that I felt so much better and my headache went away.

My migraines have decreased by 85%. I can get up in the morning without feeling nauseous, I am not in pain. I don’t have to take all the drugs I was taking which were prescribed migraine medications.

One thing I like about upper cervical chiropractic is that I really relax when I come in here. Before I had a hard time laying down and relaxing. Since being under care I have noticed that I am able to relax.

Because I don’t have migraines I wake up refreshed, absolutely refreshed. I don’t go to bed with migraines so I wake up sleeping great. My day, no matter what the stress that comes during the day I have no migraine to start with so I can get through my entire day of work with out pain.

I have recommended this type of care and would recommend it to anyone who has migraines.

I like the way Dr. Gibson did his adjustments. It was a very interesting insight why he was adjusting where he was and it made a lot of sense. And it has worked incredibly.

I wasn’t sure whether or not I could afford upper cervical chiropractic. I did not have any hesitations about the care, it was just about the finances.

After deciding to go through with the care, I feel like I am more in tune with the way my body is working. I am feeling better and it is more than just an improvement in my headaches. I have better proprioception or a better idea where my limbs are which has helped my golf game.

It has been a lot easier to go day-to-day when I don’t have a bad headache every hour or every couple of hours. Basically they would cause me to have to sit down and take time away from my normal days. They are not completely gone yet, but they are to the point where I don’t have to stop what I am doing because of a headache. Upper cervical chiropractic has lessened the pain and frequency of the headaches.

I am sleeping better. I really thought that I had good balance, but I am noticing how off-balance I have been as my proprioception has improved.

I have also noticed an improvement in my mood for the simple fact that I am not always worried about having headaches and how I am going to have to get rid of them.

I would recommend upper cervical chiropractic care. It has more benefits than just attacking headaches, a sore neck or a sore back as a problem. It is more preventative than trying to fix something. And it keeps me away from the regular doctor. Ha ha.

I was initially concerned about how much it would cost and time needed for care when I first visited Dr. Gibson.

But I am happy to say that the care worked.  I feel better.  My migraines are real mild, fewer and farther between.

I used to get a migraine every other week and they would last several days.

If I caught my migraines quick enough they would last about 2 days and then another day for the "Hangover". If I didn't catch the migraines quick enough they could last up to 4 days with another day or two for the "Hangover". I would get sick or very nauseous, and light would make my head hurt worse. I couldn't miss work all of the time so I would have to work with the lights off.

After three months of starting care I had a migraine that only required one Excedrin Migraine and an hour of sleep. I then woke up with no headache and no "Hangover".

I no longer need the two medications I used to help stop the migraines, as well as not needing the daily preventative medication I used to take.

I also used to have heartburn 2-3 times a week that sometimes kept me up at night. In the morning I would wake up feeling nauseous. After being under care I no longer have heartburn. I also used to have hip pain that bothered me when I was sitting in a hard seat. It would sometimes hurt all the way down my legs and my hips would swell.

The things that I liked most about this type of care is that it works, was non-invasive, easy and not painful. My past experience with a chiropractor was painful and it took a lot of time for care. My first adjustment was not painful at all and I was out of the office within a half hour.

I would recommend this type of care because it works, ended up not being time consuming, non-invasive and wasn't painful.[/DDET]

I had a difficult time scheduling appointments to come see Dr. Gibson because it takes up a day, sometimes two if the weather is bad.

At the worst there would be months where I would have 6 migraines in one month.  Now it is down to one a month or less.  The symptoms are far less severe.

In fact the last time I was supposed to see Dr. Gibson I had a migraine while I was at work and I was afraid that I would have to go home, but it completely went away and I didn't have to use any medications.  And there was very little pain.

I was so excited that I ended up calling people telling them that my migraine didn't ruin my day.

I love this type of care because my symptoms are much less severe and I don't have to take any medication.  Migraines no longer obstruct my daily life.

It used to be that when I had a migraine I would be done until the next day.  I would literally have to spend the rest of the day in bed.  The fact that I can rest for just a little bit and it goes away is huge.

It has made my life easier.  Migraines are not much of an annoyance anymore.

I would absolutely recommend this type of care, especially if it is someone who lives close to your office.  I like this type of care better than anything else I have tried.  Medications didn't work for me.

If medications did work for me I would probably be spending much more money over the course of my life to manage my migraines.
